Rediscover a bygone era when the newly-restored Tram Car 1220 is revealed by Mayor Malcolm Brodie Sunday in Steveston.

A celebration of the history of the interurban line will be highlighted by the unveiling at 1:30 p.m.

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., student actors in costume will create a historic atmosphere, reflecting the time when the tram rolled along Steveston’s rails.

Canadian Folk Music Award-nominated artist Chris Ronald will also be on hand to take visitors on an instrumental journey through song.

Be among the first to explore the various restored elements abord the 105-year-old tram, while enjoying light refreshments and learning about the restoration process from dedicated volunteers.

The free family-friendly event will be held at the Steveston Interurban Tram Building, 4011 Moncton St, in the heart of Steveston Village.
